Ingredients
- 1 kg turkey breast
- 4 pieces guajillo chiles
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp peppers
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2Rehydrate guajillo chiles in hot water for 20 minutes, then remove stems and seeds.
- 3Blend rehydrated chiles, orange juice, garlic, onion, cumin, coriander, and lime juice until smooth to make the sauce.
- 4In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sauce and honey, simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
- 5Season the turkey breast with salt and black pepper.
- 6Place the turkey in a roasting pan and brush generously with the sauce.
- 7Roast in the preheated oven, basting every 20 minutes with the sauce, for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 8Let the turkey breast rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- 9Serve sliced turkey breast with additional sauce on the side.
- 10Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
