Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 large red onion
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 4 pieces wheat pita bread
  • 100 grams yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander

Instructions

  1. 1Marinate the meat with garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, and olive oil for at least 2 hours.
  2. 2Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  3. 3Thinly slice the marinated meat and layer on a baking tray.
  4. 4Roast in the oven for approximately 60 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly crispy.
  5. 5While the meat is roasting, prepare the salad by dicing the tomatoes and cucumber, and thinly slicing the red onion.
  6. 6Mix the low-fat Greek yogurt with lemon juice for the sauce.
  7. 7Warm the whole wheat pita bread in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  8. 8Assemble the doner kebab by placing the roasted meat onto the pita bread, adding the salad, and topping with the yogurt sauce.
  9. 9Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
