  • 1 large onion
  • 1 medium fennel bulb
  • 28 ounces tomatoes
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2 pounds mixed seafood
  • 0.5 cup parsley
  • 0.25 cup basil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and sliced fennel bulb; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

  6. 6Ladle the cioppino into bowls, ensuring there's a mix of seafood in each serving.
  7. 7Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and basil before serving.
  8. 8Offer additional red pepper flakes for individuals who prefer a spicier stew.
